Speaking with state correspondent after the meeting, Oba Adeyeye said the President told him that the Ruga settlement that has created many waves in the country was taken out of context.

Recall that calls for the cancellation of the Policy that was aimed at tackling herdsmen-farmer clashes across the country was heard by the presidency by suspending it for further review.

Oni further revealed that the president, however, assured him that he would make his opinion on the Ruga settlement known soon.

Most of the governors, especially in the South West, South East, South-South were against the plan as some had ascribed it to Islamization agenda.
