Emmanuel Adebayor, the togolese national striker, is getting ready for a startling move to the Premier League, according to reports from the UK Sun.
Watford, West Ham, and newly promoted side Sheffield United all want to take the former arsenal player.
Sheffield United are all said to be considering a move for Adebayor together with Celtic, Watford. However, West Ham remains the favorites to hire the savvy striker.
Manuel Pellegrini has already completed the signing of Sebastian Haller who is also a striker. Nevertheless the record £ 45 m striker will not be enough to ensure a good run in the premier league.
Mexico’s Javier Hernandez, along with Haller, are the only current recognized forward of the club.
Although Adebayor is now 35 years old and is no longer the young prodigy, he understands the Premier League well and he has 97 goals in the English top league already.
Needless to say, One concern that might come into the mindset of Pellegrini is the fact that since January, Adebayor hasn’t been featured in the entire duration of a match.
Futher still, he was engaged in an awful tussle with Galatasaray 2nd goalkeeper Ismail Cipe. The shot-stopper shoved Adebayor to the bench as the opposition sealed their Turkish Super Lig trophy in a fierce Istanbul cup final.
Last season he managed only three goals in 18 appearances but hit 17 with the Turkish outfit in an impressive 2017-18 campaign.
And from his moment in England, Adebayor has a background of conflict.
He’s likely known best for running the entire stadium stretch to celebrate scoring a goal for Manchester City in front of the Etihad’s Arsenal fans.
It was in that same season that he had join City from the Gunners, and Arsenal fans responded angrily to the behavior.
Getting Adebayor on board would definitely be a calculated risk for West Ham. But they are faced with no choice as time runs out in the summer transfer window.
Adebayor is presently a free agent. After his agreement with the Turkish side, Istanbul Basaksehir, was rescinded,
